In the late summer of 2015, we were going to have family photos taken for the first time as a family of 6. I began looking for clothing options for our kids, my husband and myself so we would coordinate and then thought about my makeup. I wanted to make sure it looked like me. Sounds weird but do you ever see photos of yourself and think, ‘Is that what I look like?’ Maybe it’s just me. Anyway, I stumbled across this blog and this post and this post. I tried her tips and tricks as best I could and when I got my images back from the photographer, I felt like myself. I followed Cara’s blog over time and saw when she first came out with her make up line. There weren’t many options initially, so I kept on following. I watched tutorial after tutorial of hers and eventually decided to try the Highlight, Contour, Lip and Cheek Color and Illuminator. I bought a perfector sponge and also the 30 sec HAC brush. I color matched myself and over all I really liked the products. I continued to follow her blog and watch her business grow and in April of 2017, I checked in with Maskcara Beauty about beginning their artist program. I was a bit skeptical because I have done direct sales before so I was really just wanting more info. They actually didn’t have any spots available in their artist program so I kind of just let it go. But after continuing to love the Maskcara Beauty products, I messaged another artist about the program in January of 2018. She was super helpful and gave me all the details and I asked her so many questions. I signed up later that month and it has been such a fun 7 months! I really enjoy talking with the other artists, learning more about makeup and helping other women find what works for them and makes them feel beautiful. It has been such a great experience and I am so glad I joined the Maskcara Artist Program.
I plan to add tutorials on the blog, so check back often for more info! If you would like to be color matched, please send me a selfie taken by a window with your current routine and one with a bare face. If you have any questions about the artist program or Maskcara Beauty, please message me on the contact page.
